Uncovering Abuse & Emotional Distress: Former “Love Is Blind” Contestant Sues Netflix & Delirium TV

Houston-based veterinarian Renee Poche is taking legal action against Netflix and “Love is Blind” production company Delirium TV after alleging that her experiences on the show were “traumatic.” Poche has retained Hollywood lawyers Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos to help with the court battle and is suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress along with violations of various California labor and civic codes.

The Traumatic Tell-All of “Love Is Blind”
From feeling “like a prisoner” to physical and emotional abuse by her season’s contestant Carter Wall, Renee Poche has still continued her fight for justice over a year after the production of Season 5 of the prestigious show started.

Seizing of Passport & Driver’s Licence
On the very first day of the show’s production, Poche says her phone, passport and driver’s licence were seized from her by the production company. This prevented Poche from leaving her hotel room unless escorted by a cast wrangler.

Exposure to Abusive Behavior
The former Houston-based University of Houston football player, Carter Wall, and Poche were matched during the show and eventually became engaged, later parting ways ahead of the wedding. Poche alleges Wall was abusive towards her both on and off camera during the show’s production.

Defence Against the Nondisclosure Agreement
Delirium TV and Kinetic Content responded to Poche’s allegations with a joint statement, denying and vigorously defending the accusations, and expressed their lack of knowledge or control over what occurs in participants’ private living spaces when not filming.

Powerful Hollywood Defenders
Poche is proud to have Hollywood lawyers Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos by her side, as Freedman declared so-called reality TV contracts illegal and void as a matter of law. With this, Poche is looking to nullify her contract and continue her goal of supporting and inspiring others to speak up about injustice and abuse.

Renee Poche is combatting a $4 million lawsuit by Delirium TV after speaking publicly of her experiences on the show. As the former contestant continues to fight for justice after her traumatic experience on “Love Is Blind,” she aims to support and inspire others in speaking up against abuse and injustice.
